Number Merge
Visual Example: How to Play
Watch how tiles slide and merge numbers together toward the 2048 milestone.
Slide Tiles to Merge Matching Numbers
Swipe or use arrow keys to slide all board tiles simultaneously. When two tiles containing the exact same number bump into each other (like 2 + 2), they fuse into a single tile with double the value (4)!
đ How to Play
- 1.Use your Arrow Keys (or swipe on touchscreens) to slide all board tiles simultaneously.
- 2.When two tiles containing the exact same number collide, they combine into a single tile with double the value.
- 3.Every valid slide generates a new tile (either a 2 or a 4) in an empty square.
- 4.Plan ahead to prevent the board from getting locked with unmergeable tiles!
đĄ Master Corner Strategy
- âChoose a Anchor Corner: Pick one specific corner (e.g. bottom-left) and build your largest numbers there.
- âLimit Swipes to 2â3 Directions: If your anchor is bottom-left, primarily swipe Down and Left. Avoid swiping Up unless unavoidable.
- âKeep Rows Sorted: Maintain descending order along the edge (e.g. 1024, 512, 256, 128) for smooth cascade merges.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you win Number Merge?
You win by combining matching tiles until you successfully create the legendary 2048 tile! After reaching 2048, you can choose to keep playing to achieve an even higher score.
How do mobile touch controls work?
Simply swipe your finger across the board in any of the 4 directions (Up, Down, Left, or Right). The board prevents accidental page scrolling so your swipes are completely smooth.
What happens when the board fills up?
If all 16 cells are filled and no adjacent tiles share the same value (no valid merges remaining), the game ends and your final score is recorded.
